I know that fertility drugs like Clomid can produce multiples, but I don’t know the statistics on it. I also know that identical twins are not hereditary, while fraternal (unidentical) twins ARE hereditary. Weird, but that’s what I keep reading/hearing. Good luck to you!
P.S. I had a friend with endometriosis, and she was pregnant very soon after trying, so I hope things work out well for you!
I am not sure about the clomid. But I do know that if you Father is a twin it will not have an effect on you, because its passed down by the mothers side, because its a matter of dropping two eggs during ovulation or eggs splitting so this is something from the female side, not the male side. I hope that makes sense.
the chances of multiples on clomid are higher than normal, but not extremly high. When I went in for my ultrasound and my RN saw that I had taken clomid they laughed and said they would make sure that there were not multiples in there, and I also have twins that run in my mom’s side of the family (3 cousins have twins already) So far I’m only having one according to the ultrasound but I’m only 9 and a half weeks but we’ll see. Best wishes!
